Event Outline

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is now widely available, but the quality of the information we get from it often depends on the quality of the referral.well-targeted referral can provide very useful information that directly changes patient management. The talk discusses when ultrasound is the most appropriate imaging modality and what structures it can reliably assess.

The presentation then focuses on how to write a musculoskeletal ultrasound referral that:

• improves diagnostic confidence
• avoids unnecessary imaging
• directly alters patient management
