RCCOREF & RCCPF 2 Part series – Part 2 - Total Knee Replacement Rehabilitation: An Overview for Chiropractors

Outline
This webinar provides a comprehensive overview of the rehabilitation process following knee arthroplasty (knee replacement).
Ben will begin with the initial post-operative recovery phase before placing particular emphasis on the longer-term goals of rehabilitation—maintaining strength, restoring range of motion, and maximising functional outcomes with a prosthetic knee.
The session will outline key rehabilitation exercises, explaining why they may be prescribed, and highlight red flags and warning signs to monitor if recovery is not progressing as expected. In addition, he will review the current evidence on the role of nutrition in post-operative recovery, and how optimising dietary intake can support healing, strength, and overall function.
Learning Outcomes -
- Cover early and medium stage rehab (day 0-6 months)
- What to look for if progress is not as hoped?
- Exercises to aid return to function following TKR
- The role of optimal nutrition for people following TKR
