Event Outline

Osteosarcopenia—the combined loss of bone density and muscle mass—is an important predictor of frailty, falls, and functional decline.
This focused online seminar will strengthen your understanding of bone–muscle deficits, covering clear definitions, diagnostic criteria, imaging insights, and practical strategies you can apply in everyday practice. You’ll learn about sarcopenia and its evolving definitions, the interaction between bone and muscle, key imaging features across radiography, DXA, CT, and MRI, how to spot clinical red flags and risk factors, and evidence-based approaches to optimise patient care through movement, nutrition, fall prevention, and collaboration.
Designed to be practical and clinically relevant, this session will help you take a more proactive, whole-musculoskeletal approach to patient care.
